Supported files and tested scope
Tested with WordPerfect 4.2, 5.x and 6.x-or-later documents, some Mac WordPerfect files, Works for DOS 2.0 through Works 6.0 and Works 2000 documents, and Works/Lotus-style .wks spreadsheets. These samples do not guarantee that every file from those versions will open.
Good to know
- This is a viewer and converter. It does not edit WordPerfect or Works files.
- Password-protected files cannot be opened. Empty or damaged files are reported with an explanation.
- Complex tables, footnotes and picture positions may differ from the original. Some older Works files may show extra text from the conversion engine.
- It does not support WordPerfect macros, Quattro Pro (.qpw), Presentations (.shw) or CorelDRAW (.cdr).
Private by design
Documents are processed locally; their contents are not uploaded or collected by SoyaTools. Microsoft handles Store purchases. Read the WPD File Viewer privacy policy.
