Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SoyaTools ("we") handles information when you use our Google Workspace add-ons, including Duplicate Cleaner for Google Forms™ (the "add-on").
Google user data we access
With your permission, the add-on accesses only the Google Form you currently have open (scope: forms.currentonly). It reads the form's questions and responses and, when you choose to, deletes selected responses. It also displays a sidebar inside Google Forms (scope: script.container.ui).
How we use it
The data is used only to find duplicate responses, show them to you, create a backup file you download, and delete the responses you confirm. Processing happens inside your own Google account through Google Apps Script.
Storage and sharing
- We do not operate servers that receive your form data. We do not copy, store or keep your form content or responses.
- The backup CSV is created and downloaded in your browser. We never receive it.
- We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
- If you buy a Pro license in the future, the payment is handled by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). The add-on then sends only your license key to that provider to check that it is valid.
How we protect sensitive data
Form responses can contain personal or sensitive information. We protect it with these measures:
- Minimum access. The add-on requests only the narrowest scope needed (
forms.currentonly), so it can reach only the single form you have open and no other files in your Google account. - No transfer to us. All processing runs inside Google's own infrastructure (Google Apps Script) under your account. Form content and responses are never sent to SoyaTools servers or any third-party server.
- No retention. The add-on does not write form content or responses to any log, cache, database or file outside your own Google account. Data is held only in memory while a scan runs and is discarded when it ends.
- Encryption in transit. Data moves only between your browser and Google's services over encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connections managed by Google.
- User-controlled deletion. Responses are deleted only after you review and confirm them, and the add-on offers a backup CSV first. The backup is generated in your browser and saved only to your device.
- Restricted developer access. SoyaTools staff cannot view your forms or responses, because that data never reaches us.
- Security issues. If you believe you have found a security or privacy problem, contact [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Limited Use
SoyaTools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can uninstall the add-on at any time from Google Forms (Add-ons → Manage add-ons) and remove its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Because we store no form data, nothing remains with us after removal.
Children
The add-on is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
